Ethiopian Teff Porridge

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 /4 cup Teff grain
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp coconut flakes
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup water
  • Sliced fruits for toppings

Instructions

  • Bring 1 cup of water to boil.
  • Add your rinsed teff grain and stir intermittently. Adjust water as desired
  • Cook time is 15 to 20 minutes, stir intermittently to prevent the porridge from sticking to the pot
  • Pour the porridge in a bowl, and add toppings as desired. Sweetened coconut flakes changed the game for me!
  • Drizzle maple syrup to sweeten as desired
